Pärnu is the fourth largest city in Estonia. Located in the Gulf of Riga, at the mouth of the Pärnu River. The town is surrounded by peat bogs, meadows and birch forests, and the spa climate and long beaches have made this place a popular resort. Namely, the local mass transport card allows you to travel both within the district and within the city, and all public transport is shared by the district. Parnu Beach


The Plaza in Parnu is known for its numerous spas and clinics operating since 1898, it is the largest resort in the Baltic countries. Parnu molo

Constructed once to deepen the port and boost trade, the mole of Pärnu is one of the city’s most interesting sightsFrom time to time, the whole mole can be left under the water when the water levels are low, the top parts of old wood pulp posts can be seen the bottom of the 7-meter-wide mole is nearly 26 meters wide and its depth is up to 5 meters.
Legend: According to an ancient legend, young lovers have to walk to the end of the mole and seal their love with a kiss there.
Rannapark

Parnu rannapark in Estonia is a lovely beach park. Established in the late-eighteenth century, this park underwent an extensive renovation in 2010. Today, it boasts of beautiful fountains, winding trails, and vast playgrounds. You can take a leisurely stroll on the soft, sandy beach or you can explore the different areas of the park. Rannaniidu Matkarada


Pärnu beach meadow nature reserve covers a total of 341 hectares of forest stands, lagoons and beach meadows. Cattle or city cows are grazed here, and birds and amphibians like to nest here. To discover the unique urban nature, a 600-meter hiking trail with a viewing platform has been built for visitors with the support of the Linnalehmad project, which is located by the sea in the central beach of Pärnu. Guests can walk directly over the sonni, or flooded meadows, and discover special and protected plants. You can enjoy the nature on the gently rising path with both a stroller and a wheelchair.
Tallinn Gate in Parnu

So-called Tallinn Gate is the only remaining 17th century gate of the city wall in Baltic Countries. It was built between 1675 and 1686 and designed probably by Swedish Erik Dahlberg. During the teardown of the fortification in the 19th century only the Tallinn Gate was preserved, as well as the embankments and the trench that leads to the Venuse Bastion at the riverside – the so called Vallikäär.
Uue Kunsti Muuseum / Museum of New Art


When visiting the Museum of New Art in Pärnu, you can always be sure that you will find a new, exciting, and positively surprising art exhibition within. There are over 600 works of visual art in the museum’s collection and over 1,200 documentaries in its video library. The art center, which was founded by Estonian cinematographer and screenwriter Mark Soosaar, is Estonia’s first contemporary art museum and an important hub of Pärnu cultural life.
