Silhouette Island with beautiful nature

Silhouette is an island in the Seychelles archipelago, within the Inner Islands, northwest of Mahé. With a surface area of 20 km², it is the country’s third largest island. The highest peak is Mont Dauban (740 m above sea level). It has a permanent population of 135. There are no roads on Silhouette, and its natural environment is relatively untouched. The island boasts the greatest diversity of fauna and flora in the Indian Ocean.

Silhouette Island. The third largest island in the Seychelles tempts with hidden pirate treasure and the densest forest in the world. The pristine nature of this place provides the perfect backdrop and complement to a dream vacation. Silhouette offers more than just beaches lapped by water of an indefinable, shimmering color. Here, you’ll find a turtle farm, and the jungle is home to unique trees such as mahogany, ebony, balsam, and colorful, exuberant orchids. The locals highly value nature conservation; few people venture into the tropical jungle. As a result, the landscape remains pristine, and wild birds rightly feel at home here. The island is of volcanic origin, built of granite rocks. Here, you can sunbathe, dive, relax in the island’s only luxury hotel, and soak up the natural surroundings. Adventurers seeking the treasure hidden here by Jean Hodoul will undoubtedly be on the lookout for the treasure hidden here by Jean Hodoul. This 20-square-kilometer island is home to just 150 people, meaning the only distractions you’ll encounter while relaxing are parrots.

Mont Dauban is the highest peak (740 m above sea level) on the picturesque granite island of Silhouette in the Seychelles archipelago. Surrounded by primeval cloud forest, the mountain forms the heart of the mountainous, largely uninhabited, pyramid-shaped island. It is a protected site, crucial for biodiversity.
