Durbuy is a town on the Ourthe River amidst gentle, wooded hills.

Durbuy is a city in southeastern Belgium, in the Walloon Region, in the province of Luxembourg, in the Marche-en-Famenne district. On January 1, 2024, it had 11,506 inhabitants. It is situated on the Ourthe River.

  • The city of Durbuy. Nowadays, it mainly survives on tourism and recreation. In addition to strolling through the charming narrow streets, relaxing in the many restaurants, or a beautiful view from the hill, Durbuy has a lot to offer. The inconspicuous Ourthe River attracts kayaking and other water sports enthusiasts throughout the summer. High, steep rock walls tempt climbing enthusiasts, and the surrounding forested hills invite you to hike.
  • Homalius Rock. Better known as Falize, it has the shape of the letter U. This rock is 300 million years old and its peak is the highest point in the city. Access to the rocks is possible at any time.
  • The Topiaires Park boasts a unique collection of trees in Europe, covering an area of ​​over 10,000 m2. It was planned in the style of Renaissance and Baroque gardens. Here you can admire about 250 surprising figures of people and animals carved in the bushes.
  • Durbuy Maze and Tourist Park. The Maze and Tourist Park are visited by tens of thousands of tourists each year. The total area of ​​the park is 11 ha.
  • The tourist bus takes tourists to the Belvedere viewpoint, from which you can admire the town and the wonderful panorama. During the ride, the bus passes the city walls, a beautiful medieval castle and other attractions. The entire journey takes 30 minutes. You can also walk to the viewing platform.
