- Keramoti Ammoglossa Beach

Ammoglossa Keramoti Beach Located near the port of Keramoti and 40 km southeast of the city of Kavala. Sun, sea, crystal clear waters, golden sand are the characteristics of the beach. The beach is 5 km long, has a small part, organized with sunbeds and umbrellas, around the beach bar, but most of it is free. The pine forest behind the beach, provides shelter to many migratory birds. Opposite the beach of Ammoglossa are the islands of THASOPOULA and Thassos.
- Ammolofoi Beaches

Ammolofoi Beach, located in the seaside resort of Nea Peramos, 18 km west of Kavala, is famous for its natural beauty and facilities. This popular beach destination is divided into four small bays, each offering clear, shallow waters that extend for about 10-15 meters from the shore.
The beach is divided into zones offering a range of facilities. Each zone offers its own set of facilities, including bars, umbrellas, sun loungers and changing rooms. There is also a bar and restaurants.
- Kalamitsa Beach

Kalamitsa Beach, located on the outskirts of Kavala is mostly a pebble beach (small pebbles) and in some places sandy. It is a paradise 800 meters long and 25 meters wide. It is worth mentioning, however, that the beach can be lively and crowded. Kalamitsa Beach is easy to reach thanks to its convenient location.
- Nea Iraklitsa Beach

The coast of the bay, surrounded by rugged mountains and spectacular red boulders, captivates not only artists and photographers, but also climbers with its breathtaking beauty. The rocks are only at the entrance to the beach, further on the beach is sandy and calm and wild. The clear waters captivate and invite you to swim.
What Is Worth Seeing In Kavala ?
Aqueduct of Kavala (Kamares Aqueduct)

The mighty aqueduct was built in the 16th century to supply Kavala with water. It has long ceased to serve its purpose, so it is a symbol of the city. There are 60 arches of four different dimensions in the entire aqueduct. The maximum height of this ancient structure is about 25 meters high and about 250 meters long.
Castle of Kavala

The castle is located on the highest point of the “Panagia”. The walls of the Castle are 449 meters long. It is recognized by a complex of bastions and a strong fortification that could guarantee the defense of the city. And without any doubt, Kavala was under attack numerous times during the past because of the strategic location of the city.
Mohammed Ali’s Residence


The residence of Mohammed Ali is a very interesting tourist attraction. And it is one of the most outstanding examples of 18th-century Ottoman architecture in Greece. Inside there are quarters for women and men, a room for receiving guests and Mohammed Ali’s private room. The house is located on a square dedicated to its owner. Nearby you can also see a monument to the dignified pasha.
Saint Nickolas Church

The monastery has great religious and historical values, being a true treasure for the region, and now operates as a pilgrim center, attracting pilgrims and visitors from different countries. The building of the church of Saint Nikolaos was erected in the mid-16th century and functioned as a mosque with the name of Ibrahim Pasha, who in 1530 had been the vezir and brother-in-law of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent.

Archaeological Museum of Kavala

The Archaeological Museum of Kavala was founded in 1934 and belongs to the Department of Antiquities of Kavala. In the rooms of the museum the guest can see a great variety of items that were found in different excavations and chronologically they extent from the prehistoric settlements of East Macedonia until the Macedonian and the Roman times.
