The Czech city of Most is surrounded by picturesque landscapes and offers a unique combination of history and natural beauty. For history lovers, a must-see is definitely Hněvín Castle. Wonderfully situated on a hill overlooking the city, dating back to the 13th century, it offers magical views of the surrounding area.
The city’s architecture is a mix of historical and modern buildings. The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with its Gothic and Baroque elements, is a testament to the city’s rich religious heritage. Local boulevards and squares come alive with street art and sculptures and absorb the city’s atmosphere.
And when it comes to green urban areas, the Central Park impresses with lush gardens and ponds, an ideal place to immerse yourself in the peaceful natural climate. If you prefer a more active pastime, the Krušné Mountains offer charming forests and hiking trails, or exciting winter sports during the winter season.

Location
Most is found in the northwest part of the Czech Republic between the Krušné Mountains and the Czech Central Highlands. City is located about 33 kilometres (21 mi) southwest of Ústí nad Labem and 70 km (43 mi) northwest of Prague.
Krušné Mountains

The Krušné hory are a mountain range about 150 km long and about 40 km wide in northern Bohemia and southeastern Germany. They extend from the Smrečanské hory in the west to the Děčín Uplands in the east.
A hike along the main crest of the Krušné hory mountain range, over 150 km in total. Beautiful scenery with breathtaking views, mostly on paved and gravel roads. In the second part of the section, the mountain range gradually rises, showing a greater range of elevation. Entering the Labské pískovce (Elbe Sandstone Rocks) Protected Landscape Area is marked by a dramatic change in landscape. This is one of the longest sections, and finishes below the mountain of Děčínský Sněžník next to a ferry stop.
Mostecké Lake

Lake Most has crystal clear water, you can swim here and rent a sunbed for free. There are no lifeguards on Lake Most. Swimming and other activities are at your own risk.
Lake Most is an ideal place for non-motorized water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, kayaking and rowing, not only on dragon boats. There is a kayak and paddleboard rental on the main beach (open daily 10:00-18:00, we accept credit cards).
The flooded area is 309.4 hectares, the circumference of the lake is over 9 kilometers, the maximum depth is 75 meters.
Hněvín Castle

One of the biggest attractions of Most is the Hněvín Castle. The complex also includes a lookout tower from which you can admire the landscape from the foothills of the Ore Mountains to the Bohemian Central Mountains. The original castle on the Castle Hill, also known as Hněvín, was built in the 12th century.
In the 19th century, an lookout tower and restaurant were built on the top, but the wind destroyed them a year later. In 1896, the Society of Friends of the Castle Hill was founded, and at the beginning of this century, a replica of the castle with a restaurant was built according to the plans of A. Schwarzer. The original castle was destroyed during the Thirty Years’ War (1618 – 1648). The current appearance is a romantic reconstruction from the end of the 19th century and serves as a hotel.
State Castle Jezeří

The Jezeří State Chateau in the Most region is the first Czech monument to be included in the list of the seven Most Endangered Monuments in Europe
published by the cultural heritage organization Europa Nostra in 2020.
Within the framework of the project, all original structural and artistic elements were restored or professionally renovated:
- restoration and fabrication of replicas of the forged railings,
- including gilding and fabrication of a new oak handrail,
- restoration and new manufacture of stucco elements, decorative volutes, mascarons with rosettes and pomegranate rosettes,
restoration of the stone sills and window portals.
Renovation of the theater hall completed.
Ruins of Rýzmburk Castle

Rýzmburk Castle was built on this rock in the 14th century to protect the trail from Bohemia to Silesia and Poland. In the 17th century, it was razed to the ground by imperial troops and the Swedes. The material from the ruins was later used in the construction of Ratibořice Castle. Only the remains of the walls, the gate and the historical cellars have survived.
Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

The construction of the temple dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary began in 1517 and lasted until the beginning of the 17th century.
The church is open to the public. It is beautifully decorated on the inside and the precise architectural concept of its space will impress every visitor. The powerful experience is multiplied by an authentic video about the moving of this extraordinary monument. Its tower offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
Regional Museum in Most

The Regional Museum in Most was established as a result of the collecting activities of the Municipal Museum in Most and the Podkrušnohorské Museum.
The museum houses collections dedicated to natural sciences and historical artifacts from the region in several exhibition halls.
The museum stores applications and artifacts from sediments that were caused by industrial development in the North Bohemian mining system.
Autodrom Most


Autodrom Most is 4.212 km long race track for motorsport outside of the city of Most in the northwest of the Czech Republic. The racing circuit was built between 1978 and 1983, but the Most district was known for organizing motorcycle and car races earlier. Autodrome is used for races of cars, trucks, motorcycles and free circuit rides, but also for test rides of developed cars, training of drivers of fire engines, ambulance and police cars, as well as training of drivers in crisis situations, etc.
Alpakárna

Discover the wonderful world of the local llama farm, called Alpaca Farm. Each animal has a name and is very friendly! For example, in the nearby area you can go for a walk with llamas, doing the so-called lamatrekking.
The walk lasts an hour and during it you will be able to pet and feed the alpacas. You can move around them using your mobile phone. You will be accompanied by an experienced breeder who will answer all your questions about llamas and their breeding with us. Lamatrekking is suitable for singles, couples and families with children (recommended for children from 4 years) and takes place regardless of the weather conditions.
