A story within a story, a saga of the Amarelli family, which can be touched, read, heard, and experienced at the Giorgio Amarelli Lucrezia Museum.
Engravings, documents, books, and period photographs, as well as agricultural tools, everyday objects, and magnificent antique costumes, bear witness to the life of a family that treasured the underground branches of the licorice plant, which grows wild on the Ionian coast, providing the backdrop for this unique museum.
Parco Archeologico Castiglione di Paludi

On the hilly foothills of the agricultural center, to the left of the Trionto Valley, the ancient city of Traens, in the Castiglione district, we can visit the Regional Archaeological Park of the mysterious Hellenized Brutian city of the 4th century BC.
The park houses buildings of unclear purpose, including Doric columns and capitals, remains of a theater complex from the Hellenistic period (4th century BC), and other impressive archaeological relics, some already known to the local population and others discovered after 1946.
Chiesa della Panaghia


The Church of Panaghia is a Byzantine building located in the historic center of Rossano Calabro. The name “Panaghia” means “most holy” and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. This small church was built in the 11th century.
It has a single rectangular nave, covered with wooden trusses, topped by a semicircular apse with a semi-dome. Considering that the Latin Rite was introduced in the diocese of Rossano in 1363, the frescoes at Panaghia could not have been later than that period.
Oratory of Saint Mark

The Oratory of Saint Mark is a Byzantine-fashion oratory located within the old city center of Rossano. It is the one of most historical monument in the town and become in the beginning dedicated to Saint Anastasia.
It has a Greek pass plan with 5 characteristic domains on cylindrical drums and, within the past, the whole constructing turned into supported by way of very thin columns then those have been included with cement after recovery works.
