Zlin is a city located in the heart of Moravia and a place that combines modernity with industrial history. The famous Bata shoe company developed here, which not only shaped the local economy but also influenced the development of the city. Building 21 – the former headquarters of the Bata company, currently serves as an administrative and cultural building. This modern 77-meter skyscraper, built in the 1930s, was one of the tallest buildings in Central Europe at the time of its construction.
Visitors to Zlin should not miss the Bata factory complex, which is an industrial facility. There is also a Shoe Museum here, which shows the history of the company and its influence on the development of the shoe industry around the world.

Zlín is a city in the South Moravia region of the Czech Republic. borders with Slovakia (Trenčín and Žilina Regions) are formed by its eastern edge.
Bata’s Skyscraper

Baťa’s Skyscraper, also known as Building No. 21, is a skyscraper in Zlín, Czech Republic. It is 77.5 metres high and has sixteen floors. It was the administration building of the Bata Shoes factory, a company that was based in the city. Now it is headquarters of the Zlín Region.
Zoo and Palace Zlin-Lesna


Zlín Zoo is located 4 km in the Holešov direction and is one of the most-visited places in all Moravia. It is also the second most-visited zoo in this country. The large wildlife compounds with numerous animal species living together. In one day, you can tour Africa, Asia, Australia and America and see 215 animal species.
The most attractive animals are elephants, giraffes, rhinos, red pandas, gorillas, sea lions, lions, tigers, anteaters, penguins, parrots and many others. Zlín Zoo is the 3rd most visited tourist destination in the Czech Republic, and it also includes the beautiful Lešná Castle full of travel artifacts.
Zlin Castle

Originally built as a medieval fortress, the castle was transformed into a residential castle during the Baroque period. It serves as a cultural center for the region, presenting exhibitions of art and artifacts from Wallachian Moravia. It has a 14th-century Gothic tower that rises above the Dřevnice River valley in the city center.
Museum of Southeast Moravia in Zlin

The Museum of Southeast Moravia in Zlín, Czech Republic, is a place that provides expertise in the history, culture and traditions of the region. The museum has a rich collection of artifacts and exhibitions that present the rich heritage of Southeast Moravia. One of its attractions is the original Baťa exhibition, which provides an insight into shoemaking and explores the life and work of the famous Czech entrepreneur and his family.
Lukov Castle

Lukov Castle is now the ruins of a medieval castle. The trail leads through lush forests and gentle hills. The walls and towers of Lukov Castle rise above the Hostyńsko-Vsetinské Mountains at an altitude of 500 meters in the Zlín region. The castle has served as a royal fortress since 1332.
Tomas Bata Villa

The Bata family moved here in 1912. The villa was a representative residence, a place for meetings and important business discussions, as well as a place of rest and family retreat. Today it is the seat of Tomas Bata Foundation. It hosts Bata Academy, thematic lectures, seminars and courses for the general public, as well as cultural events such as Evening Teas.

Tomáš Baťa Memorial is one of the real architectural gems and symbols of Zlín city. The memorial corresponds exactly in its dimensions to the industrial and utility buildings of the Baťa company. Outside a shining showcase of concrete, glass and steel. Or, if you will, a modern paraphrase of High Gothic architecture.
The interior is characterized by minimalism and simplicity that is corresponding with Tomáš Baťa´s bright, truthful and unpretentious personality. The only light source of the memorial are copies of 65 unique standing lamps, creating the feeling of a bright jewel from the outside. Architect Ing. Petr Všetečka, who is in charge of memorial reconstruction, has kept all features of the original building including a model of the aircraft Tomáš Baťa has crashed in and died.
Malenovice Castle

Malenovice is a castle located in the Malenovice part of the city of Zlín. It was built in the second half of the 14th century.
One of the most significant historical landmarks of the Zlín Region lies only 6 km from the centre of modern Zlín. The castle was established by John Henry, the Margrave of Moravia, in the second half of the 14th century. Over the following centuries, it underwent several reconstructions which transformed the original Gothic mediaeval castle into a Renaissance chateau, later modified in the Baroque style.
Kolektivní dům ve Zlíně

The twelve-story building was built between 1945 and 1950 as the first collective house in Czechoslovakia. The fifteen-story Kolektivní dům ve Zlíně contains 26 three-room and 76 two-room apartments. It currently houses the city’s Alternativa cultural center and hosts exhibitions and concerts.
