Bosnia and Herzegovina is a country with extraordinary landscapes. This is still an undiscovered part of the Balkans, perfect for an active holiday. We will find many places here that will charm us with their atmosphere. Crystal clear rivers, captivating waterfalls, majestic mountains this is the wonderful nature of the country. Almost half of the country is covered with forests, and a significant part of the landscape is also mountainous areas, rushing rivers cutting through deep gorges, beautiful lakes and impressive waterfalls. On the Adriatic Sea there are valleys with plantations of kiwi, lemons, mandarins and grapes. There are also several national parks in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Jahorina


Jahorina, located about 30 km from the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is the most popular winter sports center in this country, as well as one of the most famous in the entire Balkans. There you can ski along the Olympic routes and use a really great and modern cableway network (gondolas, chairlifts, several T-bar lifts). In summer, the area around Jahorina offers pleasant walking, cycling and trekking areas.

Orlovač Cave


Orlovača Cave is the second-longest cave in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Orlovaca cave system is one of the most significant caves in Bosnia. It’s located on the hill with the same name, in Sumbulovac. This is the hidden indescribable beauty, where the stalagmites, stalactites and halaktiti interspersed with fragments of coral and aragonite jewelry and unique cave pillars. It’s embellished with a series of drapery of tiniest looks and different forms. Orlovača is an outstanding speleological site, where the cave bears have lived (Ursus speleus), a distant ancestor of brown bears (Ursus arctos), more than 16,000 years ago.
Krupa on Vrbas


Krupa na Vrbasu (Krupa on the Vrbas) is a small town some 25km south of Banja Luka in the Bosanska Krajina of Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH. Krupa lies in a valley between canyons of the Vrbas-river. The Krupa itself is a small river which joins the Vrbas in the canyon.The town is known for the “Krupa falls”, the waterfalls in the town. Indeed the crystal clear waters racing down between the traditional watermill make a lovely sight. By the waterfalls you can even buy freshly ground wheat, or eat some trout at the trout farms just below.
Studeni Potok


The Studeni Potok Valley (stream) is located near the village of Umoljani, close to Lukomir. You will see a wonderful and unusual view of a stream that winds through the meadow like a wonderful water snake. But all you need to do is climb one of the surrounding hills, thanks to the functional medra stream, to admire this miracle of nature from above.
Maglić


The highest peak in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maglića, rises to a height of 2,386 meters above sea level. It is located in the Dinaric Mountains on the border with Montenegro in the Sutjeska National Park. It is included in the Crown of the Balkans and the Crown of Europe. Trekking to Maglić is an unforgettable experience, reaching the peak and viewing the wonderful mountain landscape from the top. The ideal idea is a loop trip that also includes Trnovačko jezero on the Montenegrin side.
Kravica Waterfalls


Kravica Waterfalls is a large cascading waterfall on the Trebižat River, in the Karst Heart of Herzegovina in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is situated 10 km south of Ljubuška and 40 km south of Mostar. Tourists from all over the world travel there. The waterfalls are a beautiful natural wonder worth seeing when traveling around the country. The waterfalls are over 100 meters wide and the level drops up to 25 meters. They were created as a result of the accumulation of travertine. Due to its picturesque location and crystal clear water, it is a popular bathing place for residents of the nearby town of Ljubuški. A catering point has been built at the foot of the waterfall, and it is also possible to pitch a tent.
Koćuša Waterfall


Koçuša Waterfall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is certainly less known than the Kravica waterfalls. The waterfall is located in the town of Veljci, twelve kilometers from Ljubuška, upstream from Vitina, almost on the border with Croatia. The five-meter height of the water threshold may not be very impressive, but its width is and is over 50 meters. Around the waterfall there are several places for camping with a camper and a few trails for recreational walking. The waterfall is incredibly beautiful.
Jablanica


Jablanica is another place worth seeing and visiting the Museum “Bitka za ranjenike na Neretvi” and the replica of the bombed bridge. Jablanica, thanks to its location, provides wonderful views of the majestic peaks of the Prenj Mountains. The route along the southern section of the Neretva from Pocitelj through Mostar, Jablanica to Konjice will provide you with unforgettable experiences.

Lukomir


Lukomir is a Muslim village which is located in the Bjelašnica Mountains at an altitude of almost 1,500 meters above sea level. which makes it the highest village in Bosnia and also one of the most isolated from the world. Only a stone road leads to the village. There is nothing (a school, a doctor’s shop) except the hauntingly beautiful and raw nature, flocks of sheep and with shepherds.
Tjentište


Situated in the valley of the Sutjeska River, Tjentište is basically a few houses, one hotel, a campsite, the headquarters of the park management and 3 restaurants. However, its location in the center of the Sutjeska National Park makes it a good base for trips to the nearby mountains. Tjentište is mainly known for its impressive monument commemorating the victory of Tito’s partisans over the Axis forces in 1943.
Bjelašnica


Bjelasnica (Bjelašnica) is one of the higher peaks in the immediate vicinity of Sarajevo. It is located at an altitude of 2,067 m above sea level, and on its slopes there are ski slopes where men’s downhill competitions were held in 1984. The slopes in “Babin Do” (Ski Resort) are among the leading European ski slopes. This ski resort has eight ski slopes and five children’s slopes, 3 chair lifts and 5 ski lifts that lead to the highest point of Mount Bjelašnica. Parts of the route are lit with high-quality competition lighting, enabling night skiing; The ski resort also has an artificial snow-making system installed.
