Doboj (Cyrillic: Добој) is a city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republika Srpska, and the seat of the city of Doboj. In 2013, it had a population of 24,349. Doboj is located in northern Bosnia, at the mouth of the Spreča River into the Bosnian Sea. The local economy is based on the construction, chemical, machinery, clothing, and food industries. The city has a significant railway junction. There are deposits of bentonite and hard coal in the area. There is a private university there.
