Rab is an island known as the island with the most sandy beaches on the entire Adriatic coast. Surrounded by other larger islands (Cres, Lošinj, Pag and close to the Dalmatian coast). Wonderful crystal clear water and rich cultural heritage and, above all, a perfect location.
The island is a very sunny island with excellent conditions for relaxation. A varied landscape, the Velebit Mountains, wonderful views, lots of greenery, numerous restaurants and bars located near beautiful sandy beaches and a wide range of water sports attract tourists. With 30 sandy beaches Rab is a really Happy island with a lot of tiny, picturesque coves, recognised by tourists from all over the world almost 125 years ago.

Characteristic
Rab island in the Adriatic Sea in western Croatia. It forms the northernmost part of Dalmatia. Whilst the northeastern side of the island is mostly barren, the southwestern side is covered by one of the last oak forests of the Mediterranean. Rab can be reached by ferry which connects the island with the mainland port of Stinica.
Dundo Reserve


Dundo is a special reserve of forest vegetation and one of the most beautiful and best-preserved black oak forests in the Mediterranean. It stretches over an area of 100 hectares on the beautiful Kalifront peninsula in the southwestern part of the island. Part of the famous Premužića trail runs through the forest, allowing you to experience the forest by bike or on foot.
Paradise Beach


Rajska plaža (Paradise beach) located in Lopar, an endless sandy beach is so perfect that it got into the world top 10 beaches 2012 according to CNN. The wonderful sandy beach with golden sand is often visited by tourists. The trees and nature in the area create natural shade and coolness on the beach.

Pudarica Beach


Pudarica beach is all fine sand and clear sea and you can only get there by a car or by a boat. If you stay on the beach long after sunset you will witness the most famous Beach Clubs in Croatia – Santos.
Parking is free, there are sanitary facilites, as well as a cafe and a bistro on the beach. If you like, you can explore nearby hidden beaches and coves on foot too.
Rab Town


Rab is distinguished by four church towers rising above the roofs of the old town – the bell tower of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary – the cathedral, the bell tower of the church of St. John the Evangelist, the bell tower of the church of St. Andrew the Apostle and the bell tower of the church of St. Justyna.
A large collection of sacred art can also be seen in the Franciscan monastery of St. Bernardine with two churches (St. Euphemia and St. Bernardine) where you can find all kinds of artifacts.
Medova Buza


The island of Rab also has an attraction in the form of a cave. One of the most famous caves is Medova Buza, located in Lopar. This is an ideal place for snorkeling and mask diving. Moreover, while diving in this place, you can also visit underwater caves.
Freja on the Rab island


RabskaFjera is the oldest and largest medieval summer festival in Croatia. In the past, Fjera lasted 14 days, during which the inhabitants of the island worshiped the relics of Saint. Krzysztof, who is credited with saving the city from destruction. Today, Fjera is celebrated in his honor. RabskaFjera takes place every year on July 25-27 (the feasts of St. James, St. Anna and St. Christopher).
During the festival, the entire town moves back in time. Small shops and craft workshops line the streets and alleys, offering visitors a unique opportunity to see with their own eyes how a belt or fragrant pomade is traditionally made, or how to decorate your hair with tiny flowers, just like in the Middle Ages. The aroma of freshly fried šulčići fills the air, and an entire fishing village is built on the beach. The streets resound with song and music.
Rapska Torta (Rab cake)

Rapska torta is a Croatian spiral-shaped cake originating from the island of Rab. It consists of marzipan, spices and Maraschino liqueur. You can visit the home of Rab’s most famous dessert in the historic center of the city.
There you will learn a lot about the long tradition of preparing Rabska torta, whose original recipe from the 12th century is kept by the Benedictine sisters.
