We invite you to visit the beautiful Danish island of Møn! A small island in the Baltic Sea with the magnificent white chalk cliffs of Møns Klint contrasts with the turquoise waters of the sea. It is the landscapes that make the island unique, and in 2017 Møn was awarded the title of the first UNESCO biosphere in Denmark!

Characteristics
The island has an area of 84 square miles (218 km2) and lies in the Baltic Sea. It is separated from southern Zealand by the Ulv Strait, and from the island of Falster by the Grøn Strait. On the eastern coast, white chalk cliffs covered with beech forests rise in places to a height of more than 450 feet (137 meters). The island’s fertile clay loam favors cereal crops and dairy farming.

Møns Klint

One of the main attractions of the island of Møn is the huge cliff which is a popular tourist spot. The cliff wall is approximately 8 kilometers long and the highest point is Aborrebjerg, reaching 143 m above sea level. The amazing views are breathtaking! During the trip you can find rare species of plants and animals here.

Beech Forests

In Klinteskoven, deciduous forest alternates with conifers, and the forest offers great experiences with lakes and steep hills, soft valleys and swamps. Under the gnarled beech trees you will find Møns highest spot and it is Aborrebjerget .
The soil’s high amount of chalk is the reason why you can find up to 20 different types of wild orchids in Klinteskoven. Most of the orchids are rare and on the edge of extinction. All vegetation in Klinteskoven is protected by law and therefore it is not allowed to pick or dig up any kind of vegetation there.
The Lighthouse

Also worth discovering is the wonderful view of the Møn Lighthouse, with its spectacular yellow lantern tower casting lights in the evening, and the pebbly beach at the southeastern point of Møn, where the majestic Møns Klint rises.
Horse Racings

The island of Møn is recommended for a horse riding holiday for horse lovers of all ages. Horse racing is organized for adults. It’s a very exciting adventure to travel for miles through these beautiful areas!
