Fiskeri- og Søfartsmuseet (Fisheries and Maritime Museum)



The Fishing and Sea Museum in Esbjerg tempts you with knowledge, fish and seals. You can pet the fish and learn about virtually all fish species living in Danish waters – from winged fish to armored wrasse. The seals are fed every day at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Large outdoor area with old fishing boats and a nice playground. Every Wednesday at 10.00 there is an engine day, during which volunteers start old engines from fishing boats.
Wadden Sea National Park


Visit the National Park Vadehavet, the largest national park in Denmark, with its characteristic open landscape. The shallow sea areas, the tidal channels, dry sands and the Wadden, Skallingen and the Wadden Sea islands are all characterized by a rich and varied nature. Here, beach and dune landscapes can be found along with the marshes, shore meadows, estuaries, areas protected behind dikes and ‘kogs’.
Man by the Sea



At Sædding Strand north of Esbjerg you will find Man by the Sea, a sculpture, which was created in connection with Esbjerg Municipality’s 100th anniversary in 1994 and has since become an internationally known landmark for the city of Esbjerg. The sculpture depicts four white men in a row looking out over the sea, and is very similar to the Easter Island monoliths. The figure protrudes 9 meters into the air and can be seen up to 10 kilometers from the sea side. The white men scouting out over the sea must symbolize the pure man’s encounter with nature. Man by the Sea is a must-see therefore counts as Esbjerg’s main attraction.
Sædden Church


Sædden Church is a Church of Denmark church in Esbjerg and was completed and consecrated in 1978. Located in the Sædding neighbourhood northwest of Esbjerg’s centre, the church is built entirely of red brick, with wave-shaped folds on the north and east walls. There are galleries on the other two walls. The complex also consists of parish rooms and administrative offices. The free-standing tower is strangely shaped with a round base and a square top.
Esbjerg Water Tower


Esbjerg Water Tower is a water tower located in Esbjerg built in 1896-97 on a burial mound from the Bronze Age and has a capacity of 130 cubic meters. The tower is located by the harbor and is a landmark of the city. It was granted the status of protected in 1983.
Lightship Museum


The Lightship Museum, known locally as Fyrskibet, is moored at the city’s harbor and is an integral part of Esbjerg’s identity as an important maritime center. The lightship itself is a meticulously preserved vessel that once served as a floating lighthouse, equipped with a powerful light atop its mast to warn and navigate ships away from dangers lurking beneath the ocean’s surface.
Treenighedskirken


The church was consecrated the 12th of November 1961. About 400 seats. The big triangular windows in glass mosaic are made by the architect Jens Urup Jensen. Outside the church is a crucifix which was made by the artist Erik Heide. The material originates from the copper roof, which was blown off the church during the hurricane on 3 December 1999.
Esbjerg Printing Museum


Esbjerg Printing Museum is a unique printing museum in the Danish city of Esbjerg. It archives the printing heritage from 20th Century till the time technology overtook the traditional art of printing. The numerous exhibits on display are a Typograph, a Intertypes and a Linotype and several printing equipment.

Swimming Stadium Denmark


Swimming Stadium Denmark In Denmark is a swimming and leisure complex located in Høje Taastrup. Since its construction, Swimming Stadium Denmark has hosted several world-class swimming events and now serves as home to the national swimming team. The 10-lane, 50-meter pool hosts a variety of international meets, including short course and long course competitions. Other amenities include a warm-up pool, fitness rooms, massage areas, as well as a café and restaurant. Swimming Stadium Denmark In Denmark is open to the public for day passes and offers training opportunities through swimming lessons, organized by instructors or local clubs. Hours typically range from 7.00am to 8.00pm, though opening times may vary depending on the event and season.
Legoland Billund



Legoland Denmark is the oldest park among all Legolands. It attracts approximately 2 million visitors annually and is therefore the largest Danish tourist attraction outside Copenhagen.
