Frederiksberg Palace
On top of a hill overlooking Frederiksberg Garden in Copenhagen, Frederiksberg Castle is the former summer palace of the Danish Royal Family. The palace dates back to the early 1700s and is inspired by the Italian style at the time. It was used as a summer palace by King Frederik IV and was the permanent home of King Christian VI. Cisterns in Søndermarken
Cisterns in Søndermarken: The cisterns are one of four must-see cultural attractions at the Frederiksberg Museums. Descend the cave-like staircase to find the ancient reservoirs, which remind us of an underground cathedral – now home to many immersive art exhibitions.
Frederiksberg Gardens
Frederiksberg Gardens are a very popular park with lakes, canals and various trees and shrubs. With their rich flora and fauna, the gardens never fail to make an impact on all the senses. The bulb area at the main entrance to Frederiksberg Gardens is a fabulous sight each spring with crocuses, scillas and daffodils. On a walk through the gardens one can also enjoy a number of surprises – e.g. the Chinese Pavilion and the Temple of Apis.
