Kolding is a town in East Jutland, a region Syddanmark in southern Denmark. It lies at the head of the Kolding Fjord, north of Haderslev.
Naturpark Lillebælt


The marine nature park on the Lillebælt River provides stunning scenery. A narrow and deep river with the strongest sea current that Denmark’s inland waters can produce. And nature offers rare plants and fascinating animals. For example, orchids, sea eagles and porpoises. Along the shore there are green beech forests and steep cliffs. Divers from all over Europe visit the Little Belt for diving, but also for other water sports and the most fascinating marine experiences.
Skamlingsbanken


Skamlingsbanken is a large hill located between Kolding and Christiansfeld. With a peak rising to 113 meters (371 ft) above sea level, it is the highest point in southern Jutland.From the top of Skamlingsbanken you can admire the view of Lillebælt water. Skamlingsbanken is a place of historical importance.
Hidden on the hill is the Visitor Center where you can see the digital exhibition and find out what is unique about Skamlingsbanken. You can also buy ice cream at the visitor center and coffee at the café.
Geografisk Have


Geografisk Have is a 14 ha experience park and botanical garden with more than 2000 different trees, bushes, plants and animal enclosures. A 100-year-old garden with large old trees, sculpted bushes and a variety of perennials, herbs and not least roses can be seen in the garden.
The garden is a diverse place, with room for guests of all ages. For children and young people, it is particularly popular to visit the Haven’s playgrounds, the bamboo grove, the caves and the animal enclosure with petting goats, rabbits, chickens, rock squirrels, ponies and the Haven’s cat. Throughout the season, there are a multitude of events such as workshops, tours, barbecue evenings, Plant Market, Sustainable Christmas Market and many other activities.
Koldinghus


The old royal castle in Koldinghus changed several times in its history, from Gothic, through Renaissance and Baroque, until the fire in 1808 that turned it into a ruin. But now the reborn castle shines, and the interplay of old and new architectural styles is the main attraction. There are very good displays, including collections of art and cutlery, as well as changing contemporary exhibits. Climb to the top of the tower but you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the city.
Trapholt Museum for Modern Art and Design


Trapholt Museum presents a steady succession of exhibitions on of modern art and design. Here you can spend hours immersing yourself in the spectacular paintings, sculptures and furniture exhibits.
The museum is located in a scenic area overlooking the Kolding Fjord. It is set within a large sculpture park featuring works by contemporary Danish artists. Arranged around a central museum street, the exhibition rooms offer many fascinating spaces to explore. Outside, a powerfully sculptural wall separates the museum from the park.
Godset – Music club


The Godset is a club in the heart of Kolding with a capacity of 700 people. It’s a brilliant place to go to hear some good Music. The Godset is a multipurpose venue containing ten rehearsal rooms which each have a small PA and recording equipment in addition to the main performance hall.
