What is worth seeing in Guadeloupe?
Les Chutes de Carbet du Carbet
One of the greatest attractions of Guadeloupe. Powerful waterfalls located in the Guadeloupe National Park (Parc national de la Guadeloupe). The highest waterfall, the first (1ére chute du Carbet), is 125 meters high, the second (2ème Chute du Carbet) is 110 meters high, and the third is only 20 meters high.
Guadeloupe has its own brand of coffee called Chaulet. It is a recognized company, over a hundred years old, whose coffee beans are valued in the industry and purchased to enrich blends by many companies from around the world.
In the coffee museum, we have the opportunity to walk along alleys filled with naturally growing coffee bushes and see in detail the individual stages of production, from drying to roasting, to the finished product that goes into packaging.
La Masion, du Caco
The main point of trips to Guadeloupe is the Cocoa House. In a small complex, we will learn about the history of cocoa and take a walk through a small park covered with cocoa trees of all possible varieties. Information boards are only in French.
After walking through the park, the main point of the program takes place – a demonstration of cocoa production and its tasting in various variants – from raw fruit (tastes like lychee) to finished products. At 10:30, 12:30 and 15:00 there is a tasting with an English-speaking guide, so I advise you to arrive at the center 30 minutes before this time to leisurely walk through the park.
Zoo de Guadeloupe au Parc des Mamelles
Zoo de Guadeloupe au Parc des Mamelles – located in a dense, natural jungle, which makes an amazing impression. A visit to the zoo in Guadeloupe is a feast for the soul and senses, wonderful vegetation, wonderful animals and a fantastic trail leading, among others, through wooden bridges suspended on the tops of trees (twenty meters above the ground).
Plage de la Caravelle
Guadeloupe is full of beaches. Some are better, some are worse, most are definitely beautiful. According to visitors, these are the two most beautiful beaches Plage de la Caravelle (Caravelee Beach) and Palage du Bourg (Bourg Beach).
Palage du Bourg de Sainte- Anne
An absolute must-see in Guadeloupe. It is a peninsula located on the eastern part of the island – Pointe des Chateaux. The end of this peninsula is made up of huge rocks that absorb the powerful impacts of huge waves. Here you will find a trail leading to the monumental cross located on the highest hill and the dangerous beach of Grandes Salines.
