Grand Est Located in northeastern France, it covers the fertile highlands and the Vosges Mountains. The province is famous for Alsatian wines and champagne production, and its capital is Strasbourg.
Grand Est is an extremely picturesque region, with small towns dominated by half-timbered buildings, mountain slopes and Gothic churches. There is also the famous Haut-Konigsbourg castle and The Gothic-Renaissance town of Colmar, a winemaking center.

Another city with a lot of monuments is Reims, here the cathedral (Notre Dame Cathedral) impresses tourists. Around the cathedral there is the Old Town with picturesque tenement houses and squares. Other attractions include:

Mulhouse was a city heavily damaged during World War II, today it boasts interesting museums and valuable monuments that have survived difficult times.
