Moorea is a wonderful volcanic island in the Society Islands archipelago, part of French Polynesia, located 17 km northwest of Tahiti.
Moorea is located 17 km west of Tahiti. Created as a result of volcanic activity, it has the shape of a trident, with two symmetrically located bays in the north. There are eight peaks here, the highest of which rises 1,207 m above sea level.
The island is covered with lush, tropical vegetation, creating natural, exotic gardens with numerous pineapple plantations. Off the coast you can meet dolphins and whales, which come here with their young from July to October.

Mount Tohivea Volcano
Virtually all places in the south of the island of Moorea have a view of the highest mountain – Mount Tohivea (1207m). There are many waterfalls around the top of the mountain. The tourist trail does not lead to the very top.
The island has two bays: Cooks Bay and Opunohu Bay. Both located in the northern part of the island, almost symmetrically to each other, they constitute a very picturesque view.

Belvedere viewpoint
It is worth going to the beautiful Belvedere viewpoint (250 m above sea level). You can see both bays and, of course, the mountains from here.
The two most beautiful beaches here are Ta’ahiamanu and Public Beach Howl Public Beach.

Dolphin Centre, Moorea
The Dolphin Centre is open to everyone and offers various programs: getting really close to the dolphins and finding out everything about them, swimming while holding on to a dolphin’s pectoral or dorsal fin for an apnoea experience, enjoying a marvellous rendezvous with these mammals !

Catholic Church – Saint Joseph
The church community is friendly towards others. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of age, beliefs or origin.
The scenery on the island of Moorea is as beautiful as it is diverse. With lush green mountains, a turquoise lagoon, white sandy beaches.
