Toulouse is the largest transport hub in southwestern France. important railway lines and highways to Bordeaux, Narbonne, road connections with Spain and Andorra began. There is a metro, an airport and a river port (connected with the Mediterranean Sea by the Southern Canal).

Toulouse is called “The Pink City” (La Ville Rose) because of the pink brick that was used in the construction of many buildings. The city is also an academic name, as well as the headquarters of the Airbus corporation. Toulouse is also home to many stunning churches, galleries and museums, but there is also great cuisine available.
