Petit Trianon

Petit Trianon and Marie Antoinette’s estate are some of the most popular places in Paris. Petit Trianon, built for Marie Antoinette by Louis XVI, is a beautiful palace surrounded by a French garden. Marie Antoinette’s estate also includes other buildings such as the House of Hermitage and the House of de la Reine. All of these buildings are part of a historic complex that you can visit on an afternoon trip to Petit Trianon and the estate of Marie Antoinette.

Hameau de la Reine

The Queen’s Hamlet – or Hameau de la Reine in French – is an artificial village inspired by 18th century Norman villages. The Hameau de la Reine was Marie-Antoinette’s happy place, where the Queen of France liked to come to get away from the constraints of court life. In 1783 Marie-Antoinette commissioned a little hamlet. It was located, a few minutes’ walk from the Petit Trianon, where she liked to stay away with her friends, far from the court.

The monumental seat of the rulers of France has been stimulating the imagination of visitors for years and is one of the greatest attractions near Paris. Tourists have plenty of attractions to visit that Versailles offers. Beautiful architecture and amazing gardens attract crowds of tourists from all over the world every year.
