Where is the tower ?
The Eiffel Tower stands on the Champ de Mars. It was previously a drill and military parade ground, because on the opposite side of the Eiffel Tower, at its other end, there is a Military School (Ecole Militaire), built in the mid-18th century. Today it is a recreational green area, a place for walks, sports training, walking dogs, playing with children and a place for picnics, so popular among the French. History And Charasteric
The Eiffel Tower, also known as the “Iron Lady”, is not only an icon of architecture and engineering, but also a testament to human ingenuity and perseverance. Designed by Gustave, it changed the city’s architecture forever. In 1889, Paris hosted the Universal Exhibition to celebrate the centenary of the French Revolution. The event was an excellent opportunity to demonstrate France’s achievements in engineering and architecture to the world. The tower is built mainly of iron, which was a revolutionary solution in the 19th century. It weighs approximately 10,100 tons and its total height, including the TV antenna, is 324 meters. The structure consists of four huge supports that connect at different levels using metal trusses, creating a distinctive openwork appearance. The Eiffel Tower has both elevators and stairs that allow you to visit the different levels.
Division Into Levels
The Eiffel Tower is divided into three main levels:
First Level:
Located at a height of 57 meters, it offers space for exhibitions, restaurants and souvenir shops. The observation deck on this level provides stunning views of Paris.
Second Level:
Located at an altitude of 115 meters, it is popular for its even better views and the “Le Jules Verne” restaurant, which offers exquisite cuisine in a unique setting.
Third Level:
At an altitude of 276 meters there is the highest observation deck, accessible by elevators. From this level you can admire panoramic views of the entire city.

The Best Places With A View Of The Eiffel Tower
- Champ de Mars: Champ de Mars is a park located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, offering a great view of the tower. This is the perfect place for a picnic and watching the evening show of twinkling lights.
- Trocadero: This large terrace is located opposite the Eiffel Tower and offers wonderful views of the tower and the Seine.
- Bir-Hakeim Bridge: The Bir-Hakeim Bridge is really a very famous place for tourists and photographers because of its wonderful views of the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. Interestingly, the Bridge also appeared in several films: Inception, National Treasure: Book of Secrets and Last Tango in Paris.
- Pont d’Iéna and Place de Varsovie: View from the Pont d’Iéna leading to Place de Varsovie and then to Trocadéro. It is worth capturing a frame with the Seine and the Tower in the background.
- Jardins du Trocadero: These gardens are located near the Trocadero and provide a peaceful escape from the crowds and stunning views of the tower. If we go further from the Trocadero terraces, you can take photos without the crowds.
- Passerelle Debilly: a small pedestrian bridge located near the entrance to the quai Branly museum – Jacques Chirac. It is not a popular place, but the view of the tower is very nice.
- Alexander III Bridge: this famous bridge offers a great view of the Eiffel Tower.
- Rue de l’Université: The Towers can be seen from a completely different perspective here. Very often, photos from here are posted on social media.
- Avenue de Camoëns: a popular street, but not far away. Facebook and Instagram fans also take photos here.
- Montparnasse Tower Observation Deck: This tall building is located near the Eiffel Tower and offers panoramic views of the city, including the Eiffel Tower.
- View from the top of the Arc de Triomphe: one of the viewing terraces from which you can see the whole of Paris, including the Eiffel Tower.
