Paros has wonderful beaches with clear blue water and a picturesque landscape: small hills with churches, endless beaches, ruins of ancient buildings. Location
Paros is an island in the Greek Cyclades archipelago, located west of mainland Greece in the Aegean Sea. Off its western coast there is a small island called Antiparos.

Capital – Parikia
Parikia in Paros (also called Paros Town or Chora) is the capital of the island. Parikia is built amphitheatrically around the port and flaunts typical Cycladic architecture. Whitewashed cubic and flat-roofed houses with colored wooden doors, windows and balconies adorn the streets. At the entrance of the port, a superb whitewashed windmill, the trademark of Paros, welcomes visitors. The bus station and taxi station are also located nearby the port.
Numerous restaurants, taverns, cafes, bars and nightclubs are lining the promenade, which is closed to cars during the evening. You find on highest point of the town beautiful –castle called Kastro, was built during the 13th century. Nowadays, only part of the wall and a tower remain from the Frankish castle.
One of the fascinating sights in the Old Town is the Orthodox Church near the Dina Hotel. With its blue dome and whitewashed facade, it looks exactly as you would imagine a Greek white church to be. In addition, there are a lot of shops to choose from, some of them are open even until late.



Lefkes
Lefkes in Paros is one of the loveliest villages. Situated in the central part of Paros, it lies 11 km southeast of Parikia. Its location offers a breathtaking view of the neighboring island of Naxos.
It also hosts enchanting churches dating from the 15th century, whitewashed windmills and beautiful dovecotes. The loveliness of Lefkes is still untouched by mass tourism, which helps it maintain its authenticity views.


Naoussa
Naoussa in Paros is a beautiful picturesque fishing village located in a huge bay in the northern part of the island, 10 kilometers east of Parikia. It is considered one of the prettiest villages in the Cyclades. With its whitewashed and flowered little houses and its tiny churches and chapels, surrounded by labyrinth-like narrow, stone-paved streets. Kolymbithres Beach is located across the bay from Naoussa and is very easy to reach by car, bus or on foot.
The lovely village of Naoussa is built around a tiny picturesque port where little colorful fishing boats (kaikia) moor. The remains of a Venetian castle can still be seen, creating a unique and enchanting atmosphere.Little taverns and ouzeries (small Greek taverns serving ouzo and meze) line up the promenade, adding a traditional charm to the friendly ambiance.



What else is worth seeing in Paros?
- Nature lovers will appreciate the Butterfly Valley, where swarms of black and yellow night butterflies (bear butterflies) inhabit huge trees.

- In Marathi, there are tunnels carved in ancient quarries open to the public, from which you can take a piece of marble as a souvenir.

- While in Paros, you must visit the beautiful Church of Our Lady of the Hundred Doors, the Archaeological Museum and the ancient cemetery.



Nightlife
Paros’ exciting nightlife is the reason why the island is a top holiday destination for many travelers. Everyone will find the right type of entertainment for themselves. Quiet bars overlooking the sea, lively bars with loud music and large nightclubs offer plenty of opportunities to drink and dance. Among the Paros discos, live music clubs and beach clubs that organize fun events. Overall, the atmosphere in Paros is calm and relaxed. It lacks the lively party towns found on other islands such as Rhodes and Corfu.
