Ponte del Mare

The Ponte del Mare is an impressive bridge that stretches across the river Pescara. The bridge was built in 2009 and has a total length of 466 metres. It connects the north and south districts of Pescara and is an important traffic route for cars, bicycles and pedestrians. The Ponte del Mare is not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing. It consists of two elegant, slender pylons that support the bridges and an eye-catching, wave-shaped structure that many consider a symbol of the sea and the beauty of the Pescara area.

Gabriele d’Annunzio Museum

The Gabriele d’Annunzio Birthplace Museum is located at 116 Corso Manthoné in Pescara and was declared a national monument in 1927. Since December 2014, the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities has managed it through the Polo Museale dell’Abruzzo, which became the Regional Directorate of Museums in December 2019.

Piazza Rinascita

Piazza della Rinascita is a large public space that, unlike most traditional European squares, has a modern look. The theme of greenery in this spacious setting provides a fitting tribute to the Square of the Rebirth, the plaza’s English name.

Paparella Treccia Devlet Museum

The Museum is housed in a nineteenth-century villa in eclectic style located in the heart of Pescara, opposite the central Piazza della Rinascita. Inside is the Paparella Treccia Devlet Collection, the result of 40 years of research and studies by Professor Raffaele Paparella Treccia, who donated the collection and the villa to a foundation named after him and his wife Margherita Devlet.

The collection is made up of 151 selected masterpieces of artistic majolica from Castelli, ordered according to a chronological criterion, the work of the major Castelli masters active between the 16th and 19th centuries, including Francesco Grue (1618-1673), his son Carlo Antonio (1655 -1723) and his nephew Francesco Antonio Saverio (1686-1746), as well as the main exponents of the Gentili, Cappelletti and Fuina families.

Pescara Cathedral

The Cathedral of San Cetteo was built in the 20th century and was dedicated to the patron saint of the city, Saint. Chetteo. He was a martyr who died in the 3rd or 4th century.
