Sardinia is a rocky Italian island with beautiful views and many attractions. Everyone will find something for themselves here. Sightseeing enthusiasts, sunbathing enthusiasts and families with children.

What’s Worth Knowing?
Sardinia is located in the Mediterranean Sea and is the second largest country after Sicily. The capital of Sardinia is Cagliari. There are many mountains and plateaus on the island, and the coastlines are high and rocky. The nature here is amazing, it is green all year round.
Climate
It is warm and sunny absolutely throughout the summer season. Early and late summer mean temperatures ranging around 24 degrees, reaching an average of 33 to even 46 degrees in the peak season. In July and August, the nights are very warm, staying around 25°C.
However, the average air temperature in Sardinia in winter is 15°C. Precipitation usually occurs 8 days a month.

La Maddalena
Sardinia has plenty of beaches with beautiful views, warm white town and crystal clear sea water. is famous for its beautiful white sandy beaches, washed by the crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea. Most of the beaches are perfect and beautiful but in my opinion these are the best:
- La Pelosa – a beautiful sandy beach in the north-western part of the island, considered the most beautiful not only in Italy, but also in all of Europe,
- Cala Luna – a rocky and sandy beach with coastal caves,
- La Maddalena – a pink beach on the island of Budelli, you can see it from a distance, but visitors to Sardinia say it is worth it,
- Cala Mariolu – beautiful beach in the bay of Orosel,
- Spiaggia di Scivu – sand dunes.

Visiting the Caves

Grotta di Ispinigoli

The coast of Sardinia hides amazing caves. It is worth going inside and visiting them, they are unique like nowhere else:
- Neptune’s Grotto is a karst cave located 25 km from Alghero,
- Bue Marino Grotto: inside, there are approximately 5,000-year-old rock paintings,
- Su Marmuri Grotto: An underground cave with a lake, colorful rock formations to explore with a guide.
- Grotta di Ispinigoli: karst cave of the eastern part of the island in the province of Nuoro north of Dorgali. It is located in the Gennargentu National Park.
What Buildings Must Be Seen in Sardinia?

- The Bastion of Saint Remy in Cagliari is one of the symbols of the city, a huge structure with terraces (including that of Umberto I), ceremonial stairs, an interior arcade and the impressive Arc de Triomphe. The bastion had little to do with defense, originally its interior was used as a banquet hall, and during World War I it was used as an infirmary.

- The Su Nuraxi di Barumini complex is another historic building. It is unique on a global scale. Megalithic stone nuragi (nuraghi) still delight us today. So far, about 7,000 nuragi have been found in Sardinia, but it is estimated that there were over 10,000 of them on the island. Stone nurags are found only in Sardinia.
Traditional delicacies in Sardinia:

Culurgiones

Traditional delicacies in Sardinia: Gourmets love the local traditional flat bread, the recipe has not changed for 300 years. It is also worth trying sheep cheeses and, of course, pasta, which taste completely different here than in other parts of Italy. Sardinia also means seadas, dumplings with white cheese, fried and drizzled with honey.
Sardinia, apart from beautiful views, atmospheric beaches, and, of course, delicious Italian food and wine, offers many opportunities for climbers. Sports areas are scattered all over the island and there are quite a lot of them.
