It is located in the Gennargentu massif, in the administrative territory of the municipalities of Fonni, Desulo and Villagrande Strisaili, in the province of Nuoro. The peaks of this mountain exceed an altitude of 1,800 m, which is high enough to guarantee the presence of snow throughout the ski season.

Kitesurfing
Sardinia is a windy island, especially from September to June (July and August have a lower wind probability). This is the perfect time to practice kitesurfing. Hovering with your kite on the waves of the sea is the stupendous feeling. Well, Sardinia will do everything to make you try, especially, in these five places, certainly the best for kitesurfing: Porto Botte, Capo Mannu, Chia, Baia dell’Isuledda, Cagliari and Alghero. Here you will find constant winds, excellent starting points and other people who share your same passion.
Riding a Motorcycle
Sardinia has some of the best road surfaces in Europe, and also some of the most bumpy. It’s all about where you choose to ride. Venturing deep into the island’s hilly countryside, a trailie rider will discover miniature mountain passes – some paved, some not so paved. Rewards for such riding include discovering sleepy villages, local restaurants, and impressive remnants of an ancient civilisation. In search of smooth tarmac? Stick to the more famous coastal routes, like the road linking Chia and Teulada. There are gems hiding in the hills – well surfaced, meandering countryside curves like the SP85 between Narcao and Iglesias – but you need to know where to look. That’s where Motorcycle Diaries comes in handy and internet.
Snorkeling, Diving
Snorkeling is one of the easiest ways to observe underwater life, which involves swimming just under the water with your face submerged. However, if we want to dive and see coral reefs, sunken wrecks and sea caves up close. There are plenty of opportunities here on the island. You will find wonderful underwater places along the entire coast of Sardinia. In the north, these include beaches in the San Teodoro area, in Porto Taverna, on the cape of Capo Coda Cavallo, on the Emerald Coast, off the coast of the islands of Tavolara and Molara and, of course, among the pristine islets of the La Maddalena Archipelago.
From many beaches and marinas in this area, e.g. Poltu Quatu Marina on the Emerald Coast, we can organize a cruise that will take you to specific places, especially recommended for snorkeling or diving, and often inaccessible from land.

Cycling

Discover Sardinia on horseback: guided horseback tours or a solitary trot along miles on beautiful beaches or among wildlife – an intense and unforgettable way to explore the island with one of the last herds of wild horses in Europe. When sun lovers leave the beach in the evening, even beginners can freely gallop along the beach and along the shore. On every corner there are stud farms with a wide range of services: from pony rides for children to multi-day trips through the wild, romantic mountain region Sardinia is one of the last regions in Europe where wild horses still live in the wild. One species is, for example, the famous Cavallini della Giara di Gesturi, miniature horses that can only be found in Sardinia.
As an example of several beautiful places ideal for horse riding, we mention, among others: Baia Sardinia on the northern island, Cugnana near Porto Rotondo and a route among granite rocks near San Pantaleo. It is also worth seeing the area around San Teodoro, on the western Arborea trail, and the trails on the Capo Carbonara peninsula and in the Chia area.
