Weekend trip to Foggia

Foggi is a small town, easily the most important attractions to visit during the weekend.

Foggia is a city and comune in eastern Italy, in the Apulia region, in the province of Foggia.

The city is famous for its watermelons and tomatoes. Certainly also from agricultural fairs and the city park Karol Wojtyła. Culture and art lovers will be delighted with this part of Italy. You can visit, among others, the Museo Civico di Foggia, which houses archaeological treasures, paintings, as well as the ethnographic section, the Civic Museum of Natural History, with a rich collection of species of birds, mammals, fish, reptiles and insects, the historic building of the Municipal Office, the 15th- the eternal Dogana Palace, which currently serves as the Municipal Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art, or the Teatro Umberto Giordano theater.

In Foggia you will find religious buildings: it is worth seeing the Romanesque-Gothic Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. On the outskirts of the city there is the archaeological park of Passo di Corvo, and beautiful beaches and even mountains lead to the sea, places dedicated to religious worship, such as San Giovanni Rotondo, where Padre Pio lived, and the beautiful Gargiano National Park.
