In the very heart of Norway, on the Trondheimsfjorden, lies Trondheim, a colorful and historically important place. Gamle Bybro


Trondheim’s old city bridge Gamle Bybro crosses the Nidelva River. According to the story, it should bring good luck to those who cross it. Is one of the most photographed objects in the city. The bridge provides perfect view of Trondheim’s old warehouse district. The old storage houses shine in their bright colors, especially when the sun is shining, and are simply great to look at.
Nidarosdomen


Nidaros Cathedral (Nidarosdomen) – a Gothic cathedral built in 1152 in Trondheim. This largest temple in Scandinavia is the burial place of King Olaf II of Norway. He introduced Christianity in his country and for many years after his death, his grave was a place of pilgrimage. This meant that forty years after the funeral, construction of the cathedral began. Olaf’s silver coffin did not survive because in 1537 it was taken to Denmark and melted down for coins.
Kristiansten Fortress


Kristiansten Fortress is one of Trondheim’s main landmarks. The fort was built after the great city fire in 1681 and now stands guard over the city. The fort offers a spectacular view over Trondheim and its surroundings, the fjord and the mountains.
Rockheim Museum


Rockheim is Norway’s national museum of pop and rock music. The museum collects, preserves and transmits Norwegian pop and rock music from the 1950s to the present. Since the opening of the museum in 2010, there has been a steady increase of visitors who want to learn about music and its history.
Sverresborg Trondelag Folk Museum


The Sverresborg Trøndelag Folk Museum is a unique attraction in Norway. The museum, located in Trondheim, houses many historic buildings, including a 12th-century castle, a medieval church and many traditional wooden houses. Visitors can explore the museum’s collection of artifacts, including traditional costumes, furniture and tools, and learn about the history of the region.
Ringve Music Museum


Ringve Music Museum is Norway’s national museum of music and musical instruments. The museum houses a large international collection of over 2,000 musical instruments. The museum is housed in four-hundred-year-old buildings, beautifully situated on a hill surrounded by the lush vegetation of the Ringve Botanical Garden. Ringve offers a range of music classes for people of all ages. Children look for treasures among the instruments for fun! Try to play all the instruments in music garden. At the end you can go to a cafe and a souvenir shop.
Granåsen


Winter Sports Center – Granåsen Ski Center is a well-known and appreciated place in Norway. There is a club in the city called Sor Trondelag Skikrets. The ski jumping competitions that take place on Granåsen are always a great spectacle and celebration, watched even by the King of Norway. It is a modern and safe hill for competitors. A big advantage of the facility is the lighting, but the hill is exposed to gusts of wind, which are very variable. World Cup and Continental Cup competitions take place here. Ski jump location Trondheim is famous for its old sagas and 5 ski jumps. The facilities (HS105 and HS138) are located approximately 12 km from the city center and are located in the Granåsen Ski Center.
Pirbadet

Pirbadet at Brattøra in Trondheim is Norway’s largest indoor water park. Most of the attractions are in one large room, meaning young and old alike can enjoy time together. There are also separate zones for guests preferring peace and tranquillity, and places for children to play without disturbing others.
