La Caleta

Best beaches:
- La Caleta: The sandy beach of La Caleta is located on the northern edge of the city, between two castles: Santa Catalina and San Sebastián. Beachgoers will find many amenities there.
- Playa de la Ballena: This popular beach of fine sand is located 48 km north of Cadiz. It is ideal for families with children because there is a sea playground.
- La Fontanilla: From Cadiz, you can drive to this beach in about 40 minutes. It is a sandy beach with many restaurants and bars nearby.
- Playa de Valdelagrana: is an urban beach with warm and flowing water. It is located close to hotels, restaurants, bars and other visitor services. Its advantages also include easy access and beautiful views of the Bay of Cadiz.
- Playa del Chorrillo: This beach is located in the northern part of the Bay of Cadiz. This swimming area has been awarded the Blue Flag.
- Playa de Santibáñez has a long, wide coastline in the southern part of La Cortadura in the center of Cadiz. There are parking lots at the beach and it is easily accessible. There is a designated naturist zone.
- Playa de Camposoto: is a large sandy beach with free parking, 20 minutes by car from the center of Cadiz. There are many places to eat and drink here. Another attraction are the old bunkers from the war, which are still located on the beach.
- Playa de La Cortadura: is a long, sandy beach in the center of Cadiz. You can get here by car, on foot or by public transport. There is a rental shop with beach equipment on site. You will also find cafes and restaurants here.
Garden Complex

Jardines de la Alameda Apodaca
Alameda Clara Campoamor and Hermanas Carvia Bernal is a harmonious garden complex with balustrades and sea views. Walking here is a pleasure. The Junta de Andalucía has been recognized as a monument of cultural importance (BOJA 19/03/2004) and is included in the General Catalog of the Historical Heritage of Andalusia. The current appearance of the Botanical Garden dates back to the 19th century.

- Cádiz is an extremely fun and party city! Did you know that Cádiz promotes the slogan Ciudad que sonríe (literally “The City that Smiles”)? This is because there are countless different holidays, parades and shows held here throughout the year. The most important is the Epiphany Procession (Cabalgata de Reyes Magos), which takes place on January 6. During the procession, the Three Kings scatter huge amounts of candy on the road.
