Elche Palm Grove

The Elche Palm Grove is one of the most unique tourist attractions on the Costa Blanca. The grove consists of over 200,000 palm trees and was included on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2000. It is the largest palm grove in Europe. Every year crowds of tourists visit this place.
The main vegetation of the Palm Grove are date palms, there is also a Canary Island palm and a Californian palm. The remaining vegetation includes fruit trees such as pomegranates, lemons, figs and date trees, etc. Moreover, the grove is rich in various birds and insects.
Altamira Castle

Altamira Castle, locally known as Palacio de Altamira or Alcazar de la Señoria, lies in the center of the city of Elche. Altamira Castle was first built during the 11th and 13th.
At present Altamira Castle can be visited , it houses a museum and you can go up unto the battlements.
Basílica de Santa Maria

The Basilica of Santa María is located where the main mosque stood in Muslim times (TheBuilding was buit in the 17th and 18th centuries).
This famous church has decorated baroque portals and tetrahedral towers. It is in this temple that the famous Misterio de Elche performance takes place.
Misterio Elche

It is worth coming to Elche in August to see Misterio Elche, a theater performance in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary. It takes place in the Basilica of Santa Maria. This event was appreciated and included on the USNECO World Heritage List. The show takes place every year in the basilica. The show depicts the death, ascension and coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Lots of people from all over the world come especially for this event. Lady Of Elche

The Lady of Elche is an extremely important work for Spanish culture. An ancient Iberian sculpture depicting the bust of a woman, which most likely dates back to the 4th century BC. The sculpture is hidden in a specially prepared compartment. The Lady of Eche will arouse great interest.

El Cau

The fascinating El Cau museum is a set of sculptures carved in an old quarry near Elche, in the countryside – El Ferriol. The fragile sandstone, which was used centuries ago to build various buildings in Elche, was used to carve and preserve numerous paintings and famous figures in the city.
