Castle of Ibiza
La Almudaina, now connected to the Castle, was originally the administrative and military headquarters of the Muslim “wali”. It has an elongated plan and nine four-sided towers within its enclosure. Various archaeological excavations have found structural remains from the 12th and 13th centuries, although the current structure dates from the 16th century.

Cueva de Can Marçà
It is worth visiting the nature reserve with caves. The nearest town is Sant Miquel, just a few kilometers from the cave. From the latter town, the road leads to Port de Sant Miquel, also called Port Balanzat, a wonderful natural bay on whose cliffs stands the Cova de Can Marçà. From the parking lot, a beautiful, comfortable path marked on the rock brings the visitor closer to the entrance to the cave, several meters above the level of the Mediterranean Sea, from where the Underground Tour begins. From the first viewpoint on the access road there is a wonderful perspective of the Port Sant Miquel bay, with Murada Island in the background, home to a unique species of endemic lizard with intense colors and prehistoric shapes.

Ports

There are 2 ports in Ibiza: the port of Ibiza Town on the south-east coast and the port of San Antonio on the south-west coast. Ibiza Town’s port is 1.5 km from the city center and just a 10-minute drive from the airport. San Antonio Port is approximately 17 km from Ibiza Town and 22 km from the airport. Regular buses run between San Antonio and the capital, airport and some of the island’s popular beaches and resorts. Island tours from Ibiza port From the port of Ibiza you can get a direct ferry to the islands of the Balearic archipelago.
Formentera is very close to Ibiza and you can even go there for a one-day trip. Ferries between the islands run multiple times a day throughout the year, with journey times ranging from 25 minutes to an hour. Ferries from Ibiza to Formentera depart from Ibiza Town Port. Another island close to Ibiza is Majorca – the shortest cruise takes about 2 hours. Ferries on the Ibiza – Majorca route run daily from the port of Ibiza to the port of Palma de Mallorca.
