Elder Museum of Science and Technology
The museum has to offer over 4,500 square meters of Science and Technology exhibition halls, full of works and interactive modules, workshops for Science Live, a 3D cinema room, a digital planetarium, a special room for children, temporary and monographic exhibitions, tried to evolve, change, move out of the closet for an experiment, “take care, do not touch” to “please touch”.
Poema del Mar Aquarium
Poema del Mar is a modern aquarium located in an impressive modern building on the Muelle Sanapú pier in the port of Las Palmas. Poema del Mar is the most interesting and largest aquarium in Spain. The gigantic, cylindrical coral reef impresses with its size and the wealth of marine animals and vegetation living there. Moreover, the facility uses many modern solutions, previously unheard of in other water attractions of this type for families with children. Las Canteras
One of the most famous beaches is definitely Las Canteras, which stretches for 3 kilometers with golden stripes in the center of Las Palmas. Natural nature and the beauty of a clean beach attract tourists from all over the world all year round.
Alcaravaneras
Alcaravaneras is the second largest beach in the capital, just over a kilometer long and almost a hundred meters wide. The beach is on the city side with many skyscrapers. It is eagerly visited by families and water sports enthusiasts. There is a designated area for playing beach volleyball, basketball and football. There are restaurants and entertainment venues around. The beach is guarded.
Playa de La Laja
La Laja beach has fine gray and brown-black sand. The rocks around add charm to the beach and look beautiful in holiday photos at sunset. Due to the intensity of the sea currents and waves it receives, it has become one of the favorite beaches of surfers. Moreover, from April to October, every weekend, the southern end of the island is the starting point of weekly regattas, from which sailing boats set off.
