Cathedral of Our Lady of Toledo

Toledo Cathedral is one of the most beautiful churches in Spain. Alcazar of Toledo

After many destructions and reconstructions, today the Alcazar serves as a military museum and library. Alcazar-type buildings were erected from the 8th century in the cities of the Iberian Peninsula conquered by the Arabs, serving as the center of power. Alcantara Bridge


Alcantara Bridge – The Puente de Alcántara is a Roman arch bridge in Toledo, Spain that spans the Tagus River. The word Alcántara comes from the Arabic القنطرة, which means “bow”. Located at the foot of the Castillo de San Servando, it was built by the Romans after the city was founded.
El Greco Museum

Museo del Greco is a museum dedicated to the work of the painter El Greco and other Spanish painters. The museum was opened in 1911. It consists of two buildings: a 16th-century residence with a courtyard and an added house built at the beginning of the 20th century. Both buildings are connected by a garden. The museum contains works by El Greco, especially from the last period of the painter’s activity, and canvases by other 17th-century Spanish painters.
Monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes

The Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes in Toledo is a French monastery built under the patronage of Queen Isabella I of Castile with the intention of turning it into a royal mausoleum to celebrate the Battle of Toro and the birth of Prince John. The monastery is one of the most valuable examples of Elizabethan Gothic in Spain and the most important building erected by the Catholic monarchs. In 1926, the monastery was recognized as a historical and artistic object of national importance.
Puerta de Bisagra

Puerta Nueva de Bisagra is an ancient gate that consists of two separate parts, namely two high walls that create a patio between them. The gate is of Muslim origin. In the 16th century it was rebuilt by Alonso de Covarrubias.
Mezquita del Cristo de la Luz

Mezquita del Cristo de la Luz – It dates back to 999 and has remained intact since its construction. It was dedicated to Christian worship in the 12th century. Christ, walled up so as not to be desecrated, was discovered by Alfonso VI and El Cid.
The mosque has a square shape, the facade is made of brick decorated with arches. And inside there are horseshoe-shaped arches supporting the vaults.
