Discovering Çanakkale we get to know the blue sea, picturesque bays along the shore of the strait and picturesque mountain ranges that give the impression of a peaceful city, while over the centuries this region has been an important point on the map of war struggles. In its long history, the area dates back to ancient times, when the city, as well as the strait itself, was called Hellespont.
