Alacahoyuk Museum
The Alacahöyük Museum is located in the village of Alacahöyük, 50 km from the city of Corum. The first local museum in Alacahöyük was opened in 1940. The museum moved to the building within the ruins in 1982 and was reorganized in 2011. The artefacts unearthed in the Alacahöyük excavations that started in 1935 are exhibited in the halls named after the heads of the excavations. The place and importance of Alacahöyük excavations in Turkish archaeology is explained on the wall panels in Hamit Zübeyr Kosay Hall. Excavation materials and some of the scientific publications on the Alacahöyük excavation are exhibited in a display case where the history of the excavation is described.
Archäologisches Museum Çorum
The Çorum Archaeological Museum exhibits numerous finds from nearby Hittite towns, including the capital Hattuša, Šapinuwa and Alacahöyük.The Çorum Museum includes local museums in Alacahöyük and Bogazkale (Hattuša).On four floors, the museum houses finds from all periods from the Copper Stone Age to the Bronze Age to the Roman and Byzantine epochs. Most of the exhibits are from the surrounding Copper Age and Hittite sites, including Alacahöyük, Kussaray, Hattuša, Šapinuwa, Hüseyindede and Eskiyapar.
Sıklık Tabiat Parkı Corum
Frequency Nature Park is a recreational area and nature park located 5 kilometers from the center of Çorum. The area covers an area of 318 hectares. There is a wild zoo created to introduce visitors to wild animals in their natural habitat, and a botanical area where 165 different species of seedlings have been planted. Animals living in this area include rabbit, squirrel, fox, wild boar, wolf, badger, mole, red-tailed hawk, crow, nightingale and partridge. There is also a 10-meter observation tower, observation decks, a visitor promotion center, a wooden tea garden, a botanical garden, a village restaurant, a fountain, a buffet, a toilet, a rain shelter and sports facilities at the visitors’ disposal.
Grand Mosque ( Muradi Rabi Ulu Cami)
Muradi Rabi Ulu Cami – The mosque, located on Osmancık Street in the city center, was built by Seljuk Sultan III. It is believed to have been built by his freed slave Hayrettin during the reign of Alaattin Keykubat. The mosque took on its current form as a result of extensive repairs over the years. The origins of the mosque date back to the end of the 13th and the beginning of the 14th century.
Clock Tower (Saat Kulesi)
Clock Tower was built in 1894 by Hasan Pasha. It is located in the city center and was built in a minaret style. The tower is made of sandstone with an octagonal base. There is a clock face on all four sides of the tower. There are 81 steps leading to the top.
