Gaziantep Castle
Gaziantep Castle was built by the Romans in the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD. It was expanded and modernized during the times of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian I in the years 527-565 AD. The circumference of the castle walls was 1,200 meters. On February 6, 2023, as a result of an earthquake 12 towers of the castle were destroyed, only fragments of the walls survived.
