Pamukkale



Pamukkale, also known as the White Terraces, is a unique natural phenomenon that attracts tourists from all over the world. Its name in Turkish means “cotton castle”. Pamukkale is a place where you can admire white limestone terraces, soak in hot springs and visit the ancient ruins of Hierapolis.
These are extremely impressive thermal springs located on a tectonic fault. Water full of calcium and other materials flows from the hot springs, and by precipitating calcium carbonate, it creates characteristic dripstones on the mountain slopes. The hot springs in Pamukkale are known for their healing properties, which have attracted tourists for hundreds of years. The water in the springs has a temperature of 35 to 100 degrees Celsius and is rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium and sulfur. Bathing in these waters is recommended for people with skin, rheumatic or circulatory system problems. Ruins of Hierapolis – the ruins are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Among the monuments, it is worth paying attention to the ancient necropolis, the theater, the temple of Apollo and the ruins of Roman baths.
Ephesus



Ephesus is one of the largest and most impressive ancient cities in the world and is one of Türkiye’s most significant ancient cities. Its cultural and historical significance was highlighted in its addition to the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 2015. The remains of the city lie just 80 km inland from the popular seaside city of İzmir and close to the charming towns of Selcuk and Sirince. Buildings of Ephesus:
- The Gate of Heracles built at the turn of the 4th and 5th centuries on the Curetian Way;
- Trajan’s Fountain from the early 2nd century, built to commemorate the emperor;
- The Great Theater integrated into the slope of Mount Pion;
- Scholastica Baths, i.e. typical Roman baths built in the 1st century. and renovated in the 5th century;
- Hadrian’s Temple from the 2nd century, whose walls are decorated with scenes from the lives of mythical gods and heroes;
- Library of Celsus built in memory of Tiberius Julius Celsus Polemenus.
Kayakoy


Kayaköy (called the ghost town) is a city in Turkey where time has stopped. It was abandoned in the 1920s and has remained uninhabited ever since. After the end of World War I and the defeat of the Ottoman Empire, there was a Greek-Turkish conflict (1919-22) provoked by Greece.
The following actions were taken, among others: decision to resettle 1.1 million Orthodox Greeks from Asia Minor and 300,000 Muslims living in Greece. Kayakoy (Karmylissos) was one of the cities affected by forced resettlement. The process of destruction of the city was accelerated by the earthquake that occurred in 1957. The proximity of popular resorts makes Kayakoy a popular tourist attraction.
Butterfly Valley in Oludeniz



It is located on the western coast of the Gulf of Belceiz close to Oludeniz and you can get there by boat only. Its romantic name the valley got due to the extraordinarily beautiful tiger butterfly. Most of tiger butterflies can be seen in early June. Colonies of these fascinating moths are flitting in a protected valley until late October. Almost all species of butterflies that live on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea can be found in the Butterfly Valley Fethiye Turkey.
Apparently there are 70 species of these flying insects, both diurnal and nocturnal. A sandy, white beach, turquoise water, and the close location of the Babadag peak are the greatest attractions of the valley.
Green Canyon



The Green Canyon is an artificially created mountain lake on the Manavgat River and the only dam in the world on which ships sail. Hidden in the majestic Taurus Mountains, it is one of the main attractions of Turkey – organized tours and boat cruises around the canyon. The landscape is stunningly beautiful! The water of the Cijulang River, which cuts through the Green Canyon area, is very clear and covered with moss, giving it a green color. For this reason, the canyon was named Green Canyon. The attractions in Side are only 25 km away.
Duden Waterfalls (Antalya)


Düden Falls is a group of waterfalls in Antalya Province, Turkey. The waterfalls formed by water from the recycling station are located 12 kilometers northeast of Antalya. They end where the waters of the Lower Düden Falls fall from a rocky cliff directly into the Mediterranean Sea. The views are wonderful on this popular natural wonder.
