The heart of the island is a volcanic mountain that emerges from tropical forests. The volcano has been inactive for a long time. If you are brave, you can even enter it. This is encouraged by the tangle of ropes with knots.
There are two peaks on the island: Pahia (661 m above sea level) and Otemanu (727 m above sea level).
The largest public beach in Bora Bora is Matira Beach. The water is crystal clear and the white sand is soft and fluffy. The beach is lined with popular resorts, restaurants and shops. This is not the best place for diving due to the shallow waters. But the views are stunning.

Accompanied by a guide, we sail out to the shallow waters of the lagoon, where we attract sharks and rays by feeding them. After immersing yourself in water, you may initially feel fear at the sight of approaching creatures. This feeling passes quite quickly and turns into excitement.
The stingrays come so close that you can pet them. At one point, standing in the transparent waters of the lagoon, you can see animals swimming around us. It is an amazing experience.
It is also worth going to the Lagoonarium. It is located in a remote location, surrounded by lush greenery and pristine waters. The park is located in a large lagoon, which offers ideal conditions for marine life to flourish. To see the aquatic life up close and admire the stunning surroundings, guests can take a boat trip across the lagoon.
