Latina is a wonderful, picturesque city, especially because of its nature. Be sure to visit the Circeo National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, established to preserve part of the wetlands. It is characterized by a large amount of eucalyptus. Then the Lepini Mountains, 20 kilometers north of the city. The closest one is Monte Circeo, affectionately called the Witch of Circeo, because it somewhat resembles it when viewed from the side. Lake Fogliano will also delight you. Beautiful beaches encourage relaxation and water activities.

Latina is an Italian city located in the Lazio region (it is the second largest city) and approximately 58 kilometers from Rome and 133 kilometers from Naples. It is a perfectly located base for trips to nearby towns and one of the youngest cities in charming Italy.
Circeo National Park

One of the oldest national parks in Italy – Circeo National Park: is located along the Tyrrhenian coast between Anzio and Terracina. Major towns within the park include Latina, Ponza (Zannone Island), Sabaudia, and San Felice Circeo. Circeo Park is one of Italy’s countless wonders from its natural beauty to its history dating back to prehistoric times.
There are five distinct habitats that make up the park: the dunes, wetlands, forest, Zannone Island, and the promontory. The dunes can reach up to 27 meters tall along the beautiful coast in the park. Fine, golden sand attracts tourists and beachgoers during the summer months, but if you have the chance to visit in the spring, you’ll see the natural flora of the dunes come to life. The dunes are of course a protected habit on both a national level and European as well.
There are numerous trails that range in difficulty for trekking and biking. Visitors who want to get the most out of their experience should visit the Visitor Center in Sabaudia (open from 9 am to 1 pm beginning May 1st). They can advise you on trails and areas that are accessible to guests with disabilities as well.

Lake of Fogliano

The Lake of Fogliano in Fogliano, a hamlet of Latina, is the largest of the four coastal lakes of the Agro Pontino (the others are Caprolace, Monaci, Paola). The surrounding area features a small fishing village and a 18th century villa. Property of the Caetani family since the time of Pope Boniface VIII (1294-1303), the area has been included in the Parco Nazionale del Circeo since 1978.
Piana delle Orme

The Piana delle Orme Museum is located in Latina. Two pavilions of the museum park are entirely devoted to exhibitions of war vehicles from World War II. Thanks to the dioramas, you can learn about, among others, how Italy got involved in the war, the North African campaign, the sea landing of Allied troops near Anzio and the Battle of Monte Cassino.
Squares
Latina’s most important lively squares: Piazza del Popolo and Piazza della Libert. It is worth seeing the M-shaped Palazzo M, which is a tribute to the founder of Latina, Mussolini.

Torre Pontina

In fact, inside the city there are no skyscrapers or buildings as tall as the Pontine Tower. Close to the city’s business centre, the area where the Tower stands, an area full of modern structures has been developing since the 1990s. The tower includes 2 commercial, management, technical and service rooms from street to floor level; from floor 3 to floor 37 it is made up of 348 real estate units, 108 of which are residential (for half of the tower and up to floor 20) while the remaining 240 are for office use (108 up to floor 20 while 132 entirely occupy the upper floors ). The size of the units can vary from 50 to 80 m².
