Chioggia is called “Little Venice” because of its picturesque canals, so it is worth taking a boat trip and admiring the beautiful views of the city. Especially in its old town, an island of canals, connected to the mainland by a couple of streets and with a historical centre. It is also famous for its fish market and the rich history of the city. The magnificent architecture shows its long history, and the colorful buildings are decorated with intricate details. Walking along the canals and bridges, you can watch the gondolas passing by and do not miss the iconic Vigo Bridge, which connects the old part of the city with the modern one.
One of the main points of Chioggia is the fish market, you can admire the variety of freshly caught seafood. You can also taste local delicacies in the nearby restaurants, where chefs perfectly prepare fresh fish dishes from freshly caught fish. An unforgettable experience is a visit to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta. The temple dates back to the 11th century and has a beautiful clock tower. The interior is decorated with intricately made frescoes and a peaceful atmosphere conducive to reflection.
Nearby is the Sottomarina beach. It is the perfect place to relax: golden sands, crystal clear waters and a sun that is perfect for sunbathing.

Location
Chioggia is along the coast from Venice about 25 kilometres (16 miles) south of Venice (50 km (31 mi) by road) situated on its own island in the most southern part of the Venetian lagoon.
Canal Vena

Chioggia has its own main channel, the Vena Canal, crossed by nine bridges. The Ponte Vigo, which leads to the Plaza Del Vigo, differs from the others thanks to its grandeur. The Vena canal is rather long so portions of it may be restaurant terraces, others could be residences and others fishing quays.
Darsena le Saline

The Darsena Le Saline is located in front of the historic center of Chioggia, inside the port mouths. It guarantees safe mooring thanks to deep waters and for this reason it can accommodate all types of boats, both sailing and motor. The docks provide mooring for 450 boats up to a length of 35m. The port is developed on docks, fixed piers and floating piers, to the south and north of the Isola Morin.
Marina di Brondolo

In the beating heart of Chioggia, the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with its majestic façade has stood since 1600. Its interior, decorated with works of art of great value, including frescoes and sculptures that tell the story of the people of Chioggia, also offers a wealth of impressions.
Parrocchia Santuario Della B.V. Della Navicella

The Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of the Navicella is a place of Catholic worship and stands where tradition says the apparition of the Madonna occurred at the beginning of the sixteenth century.
Astoria Village

At the Centro Astoria there is the only amusement park in Chioggia, where you can escape from reality and enter the most diverse settings: from the Cheyenne River to run through the rapids of the river sitting inside the logs; to the battle of the cannons with the Play Children Pavilion; from the Corsari to run fast between ups and downs; to the Extreme to make even the biggest ones feel their heart beating! and many other attractions!
