These collections are presented in numerous permanent exhibitions, which allow visitors to familiarize themselves with Hungarian and world art, history, decorative arts and applied art. The most valuable exhibits include three paintings by Mihály Munkácsy known as the “Christ Trilogy”.

Saint Anne’s Cathedral

Saint Anne’s Cathedral in Debrecen is one of the Roman Catholic cathedrals in Debrecen. This extraordinary cathedral has an impressive neo-Romanesque architecture, attracting tourists and pilgrims with its grand facade and stunning interior. The magnificent towers of the cathedral provide a picturesque backdrop to the city. Intricate stained glass windows cast colorful patterns on the stone floor of this spiritual haven.

Csokonai Theatre

The Csokonai Theatre was opened in 1865 and is the oldest theatre in the city. University of Debrecen

The aim of the University (and the Faculty) is to become a hub for medical sciences committed to the prevention and restoration of health with special attention to interdisciplinary studies.
