Drumpellier Country Park

Drumpellier Country Park has over 500 acres to explore, as well as a Visitor Centre, Peace Garden, nature trails, picnic areas and children’s play areas. There are a variety of habitats to explore with children, including 2 lakes, lowland heathland, open meadows, mixed woodland and the Monksland Canal. The lakes and canal attract large numbers of waterfowl, and the woodlands have an abundance of birds and other wildlife.
Monkland Canal

Monkland Canal is a historic waterway in Scotland, offers a pleasant walking and cycling route. The canal, originally built to transport coal to Glasgow, is now a recreational area with wildlife and scenic views, particularly along the Summerlee Monkland Canal & Calder Trail.

The Museum of Scottish Industrial Life features interactive exhibits and hands-on activities for children to explore Lanarkshire’s industrial past. The museum offers rides on restored trams and a range of events throughout the year and is located a 2 mile walk from the north end of the canal.
St Patrick’s Catholic Church


St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, located in the suburb of Whifflet in Coatbridge, Scotland, is an architectural gem built in 1848. An impressive staircase beckons you to enter. St. Patrick’s Church has two function rooms that can be used for community events. The building is a place for both worship and social gatherings in the community.
