Cape Kaliakra, Kaliakra Fortress
Not far from Dobrich and the city of Kavarna there is another beautiful and historic place in Bulgaria. Cape Kaliakra literally means “Beautiful Cape”. It is here, on a rocky promontory that extends approximately 2 kilometers into the Black Sea, that the ruins of an ancient fortress are located.
The Kaliakra Fortress has a rich history that dates back to the Thracian times. Over the centuries, the rulers changed from the Romans, through the Byzantines, to the Bulgarian Empire.
Park “Sveti Georgi”
Park “Sveti Georgi” it’s a beautiful park. A Characteristic statue of St. George is placed as a guard at the main entrance to the park. You can relax here by walking along the wide alleys.
