Almada is a town in Portugal, located in the Setúbal District, in the Lisbon Region, in the Península de Setúbal subregion. As of 2011, the municipality of Almada had a population of 174,030. It is the seat of the municipality of the same name.
*Luís Figo, born in Almada in 1972, is a Portuguese footballer who played as a winger. He was a European runner-up in 2004.
