Nice – Sightseeing, Traveling, Nature, Attractions

Hello, my travelers. Today I will take you on a journey to Nice.

Let me start by saying that you can go to Nice at any time of the year. Temperatures here are moderate. It’s not too hot or too cold. Average temperatures: In winter it is about 9 ° C, and in summer it is about 22 ° C. The sun shines most days of the year.

Nice is located at the foot of the Maritime Alps, on the Mediterranean Sea, on the French Riviera. The beautiful Côte d’Azur is, above all, nature – diverse terrain, at the junction of the sea and mountains, beautiful beaches, peninsulas with walking routes and lush vegetation all year round.

Along the coast, there is a 7-kilometer long Promenade des Anglais. Parties, meetings, marathons and other important events take place here.

The most important place to visit in Nice is The Old Town, extremely picturesque thanks to its narrow streets. It is characterized by historic tenement houses, churches and squares. The ground floors of the houses are occupied by restaurants, shops and galleries of local artists. You can buy a variety of mainly local products there, from spices to handmade jewelry and cosmetics.

Mont Boron is a picturesque hill in Nice that separates the city from Villefranche-sur-Mer. The hill rises to almost 200 meters above sea level, offering a stunning panoramic view of Nice, the Old Port, and the village of Villefranche-sur-Mer. It’s a popular spot for family picnics and for tourists to take in the views.

The Old Port of Nice – Port Lympia: You can get halfway along the breakwater on foot. The port in Nice has various functions today. There are ferries to Corsica and Sardinia, and cruise ships to, among other places, Saint-Tropez. The port is also, of course, a haven for local fishermen.

Cimiez District – it is visited here by fewer tourists than in the main tourist spots of Nice. However, there are two places that attract tourists: the Matisse Museum and the Chagall Museum. It is worth visiting both institutions and then taking a walk around the district, admiring its architecture from the La Belle Epoque period.

Lovers of beautiful, unique views must visit Nice! Sunny weather with azure water and numerous places to visit make for a successful vacation plan.
